Tarrant Area Food Bank Quality Control: Sort/Inspect/Repack Food

When you volunteer, you help the Tarrant Area Food Bank's vision where no one has to go hungry within reach. In Tarrant County and the 12 other counties TAFB serves, one in six people face hunger. In 2018 amazing people, including FWHR volunteers, donated 60,200 hours of their time to TAFB to help fill empty plates.

On Saturday, October 19th from 10 AM to 1 PM, FWHR will be volunteering in Quality Control at Tarrant Area Food Bank for the 6
thyear in a row.

Please join us and help Tarrant Area Food Bank know the generosity of FWHR.

What you need to know:

For safety reasons, all volunteers must wear:

  • Closed-toe shoes that cover the entire foot. Sneakers or boots are appropriate.
  • Jeans, long shorts and t-shirts are strongly recommended.
  • Short shorts and midriff tops are NOT appropriate.

Additional details:

  • Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early.
  • Parking is available in the lot surrounding the building. If this lot is completely full, you may park along Cullen Street or in the parking lot at the 2525 Cullen TAFB Building across the street.
  • It is strongly recommended that you leave all personal belongings at home or in the trunk of your car. Tarrant Area Food Bank is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
