Founded in 1966, Fort Worth HR (FWHR) has over 600 members representing more than 480 companies in the Metroplex. We represent professionals, veterans and students with all manner of educations and certifications. By themselves, our members volunteer at hundreds of different locations throughout the Metroplex and, collectively, we have over 2000 years of professional experience.
FWHR is the greater Tarrant County and surrounding area's affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). FWHR also participates in the activities of Texas SHRM and our SHRM affiliated chapters in North Texas.
The mission of FWHR, a non-profit organization, is to advance the human resource profession by: promoting the strategic value of human resources; by developing the skills and knowledge of its members; and facilitating the development of professional relationships.
The chapter holds monthly luncheons and meetings, and two annual conferences. Our members also have access to our membership directory and online forums, and enjoy discounts for meetings, conferences, and other training events. They also have access to member-only events throughout the year. Most importantly, though, our members have access to each other - the professional and personal relationships developed while volunteering in FWHR activities are invaluable. Become involved today!
