Fort Worth HR - 2026 Awards

Fort Worth HR’s annual awards recognize the professionals, leaders, and rising stars who are shaping
the future of work in our community. We do so through these three pillars:

1️⃣ Honoring Our People

HR professionals work tirelessly behind the scenes to build great organizations.

Our awards program shines a spotlight on those whose dedication, creativity, and compassion elevate workplaces across Fort Worth.

2️⃣ Awards Night

We celebrate and recognize our HR community by bringing together leaders, emerging professionals, and their supporters at our annual Awards Night Gala. Save the date! Awards Night on November 13th.

3️⃣ Community Impact

Beyond individual recognition, our awards celebrate the ripple effect great HR has on families and communities.

By lifting up these stories, we inspire others to pursue excellence and grow the profession in North Texas.

How it Works

1️⃣ Submit a nomination

Complete the online nomination form for your chosen award category. Share a brief narrative about why this person deserves to be recognized.

2️⃣ Review & Verification

The board reviews submissions for completeness and eligibility. Nominators may be contacted for additional information to support the nomination.

3️⃣ Judging Panel

The board evaluates nominees on criteria including, but not limited to impact, innovation, leadership, and community contribution. Member voting will also be open for certain categories

4️⃣ Awards Night

Winners are announced live at the annual Awards Night gala. All nominees are celebrated. Recipients receive a custom award, recognition in FWHR publications, and ongoing community spotlight.

2026 Award Categories

Do you know someone who deserves recognition for their contributions to Human Resources? Nominate yourself or someone else! Nominations are open through October 1, 2026.

🌱 EMERGING HR
Mid-career: ~1-3 years of experience

Recognizes an early-career HR professional who demonstrates exceptional promise, initiative, and measurable early impact. Impact is typically project-based or team-based.

⭐ HR EXCELLENCE
Mid-career: ~4-10 years of experience

Honors an HR professional who consistently delivers measurable organizational impact, elevates standards of practice, and serves as a trusted advisor within their scope of responsibility. Impact is typically organizational or multi-functional.

💡 HR VISIONARY
Senior HR leaders: 11+ years of experience

Recognizes a senior HR leader who shapes business strategy, influences culture at scale, and contributes to the advancement of the HR professional beyond their own organization. Impact is typically enterprise-wide, regional, or professional-shaping.

🤝 COMMUNITY CHAMPION

Through member voting, this recognizes a member who has strengthened the FWHR community through engagement, connection, and positive influence. FWHR members will vote. Not required annually.

🤲 VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR

Recognizes an individual who has dedicated their time and effort to supporting the operations and success over the past year.

🌳LIFETIME CONTRIBUTION

Recognizes an individual whose long-standing commitment and contribution have significantly shaped FWHR and the broader HR community.
