Position Description:
In this role, you will provide administrative support to the HR Department by completing employment, education, and reference verifications; managing data entry and file documentation; and serving as the receptionist for the HR front desk. This role ensures accurate information flows through phone, email, and written communication. The HR Verification Specialist role is vital for maintaining compliance with regulations, organizational standards, fostering trust and integrity within the HR systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

A) Processes requests for hire packets for both internal and external applicants, keeping P-34 file updated in a timely manner.

B) Addresses and resolves administrative onboarding issues and inquiries, ensuring timely notification to the appropriate leadership.

C) Supports the audit process and facilitates audit inquiries to ensure compliance.

D) Provides onboarding support prior to hiring current and perspective employees via phone, email, and/or in person.

E) Processes all requests for employee ID badges; ensures accurate information and quick activation upon onboarding.

F) Executes a range of administrative and office support tasks, including document management, mail handling, data entry, and communication.

G) Provides support for departmental projects and assists in the preparation and compilation of reports as needed.

H) Cultivates a positive first impression by welcoming visitors and employees with professionalism, managing phone calls efficiently, maintaining the reception area to provide a refined and welcoming experience.

J) Performs other job duties or responsibilities as requested or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

A) Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree

B) Defined Education: Human Resources, Management, Business, Organizational Management, Public Administration, or related field of study.

C) Preferences: Master’s in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

D) Substitutions: High School Diploma/GED and six (6) years’ experience; Associate Degree and four (4) years’ experience

E) Years’ Experience: One (1) year

F) Defined Experience: One (1) year of experience in administrative, or human resources

G) License/Certifications: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent certification is preferred
