Legal Hour:

10:15 AM - 11:15 AM

Presented by Mike Coffey

Topic: What to Do When Law Enforcement Shows Up

Politics aside, organizations have rights and duties in different circumstances where law enforcement makes contact. In this presentation, Mike Coffey will discuss why businesses need a law enforcement response policy, appropriate and legal options in different circumstances, common misunderstandings regarding law enforcement interactions, and ways to protect the company and employees while ensuring compliance with the law.

Luncheon:

11:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Presented by
Brooke Hipps

Topic: Empowering HR Leaders to Address a Critical Employee Wellness Gap

Brooke Hipps is an entrepreneur, TCU Executive MBA graduate, and founder of Weekend Will, a Texas-based SaaS platform that transforms one of life’s most avoided conversations (end-of-life planning) into a simple, affordable and compassionate process.

Brooke’s talk, "The Overlooked Wellness Benefit: How Legacy Planning Supports Employee Wellbeing, Engagement and Retention," bridges two pressing HR priorities:

- Wellness & Total Rewards – offering benefits that address employees’ whole-life needs, reducing stress and improving peace of mind.

- Strategic Talent Management – building trust and engagement by addressing a universal, but often unspoken, concern among employees.

Brooke combines her professional expertise with a deeply personal story: losing her 36-year-old sister without a will, and navigating the emotional and legal chaos that followed. That experience became the catalyst for creating Weekend Will, a platform now being adopted by employers like Red Stag Logistics as a unique and impactful benefit for their teams.

Pending Approval for 2 SHRM & HRCI Recertification Credits.
