(learn more about each below)
|This PEG meets monthly to discuss relevant, current topics as it relates to the world of compensation and benefits. We are a group of HR professionals of different levels of experience and diverse backgrounds. Topics include FMLA, pay practices and policies, benefits administration and more!|
|Generalist:||This PEG seeks to add variety with meetings hosted every other month at alternating locations by alternating leaders. Whether you are a generalist or manager in the HR department or you are the HR department, we will discuss relevant and current topics as it relates to HR practices. Topics will include the realm of HR competencies, trending practices, hot news to know and open floor discussions.
|Non-Profit:||This PEG meets every other month to discuss and share topics, vendors, HR principals, staffing issues, policies, and procedures as they relate specifically to non-profits. We are a group of HR professionals in the for profit and non-profit areas. In addition to sharing, our agenda regularly includes a subject matter expert or presentation by a sponsoring agency highlighting their volunteer programs and needs.|
|Recruiting:||This PEG discusses recruiting best practices, challenges, and the latest trends in both agency and corporate environments. Meetings are held every other month and include a variety of topics: sourcing strategies, candidate and hiring manager experiences, employer branding, social media recruiting, leveraging technology to source candidates, salary negotiations, and much more!|
This PEG’s mission is to be a conduit between the broader community and membership of FWHR on issues around inclusion and diversity. It has the vision of creating a ripple effect within Fort Worth to build a welcoming business community that values a diverse workplace as part of achieving overall organizational success.
