Topic:
Conducting Effective Workplace Investigations

Employers should be aware of when workplace investigations are needed and how they can effectively be conducted.

Workplace investigations are a very important tool in managing potential claims which can impact potential liability, particularly where discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims are being made by employees. Workplace investigations must be handled effectively, efficiently and expeditiously and require a reasoned process and know-how by the investigators.

Luncheon:

11:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Presented by Brad Smith

Topic:
What I’ve Learned from 32 Years of Coaching:
Enduring Lessons in Leadership, Character, and Accountability

With over three decades of experience coaching individuals and teams, this dynamic session delivers a powerful exploration of what truly defines effective leadership. Blending real-world experience with timeless leadership principles, the speaker brings humor, humility, and sharp insight into how great leaders are developed—not appointed.

Participants will examine the critical distinction between leadership and management, and uncover how the most impactful leaders are those who build trust, communicate with clarity, and hold themselves and others accountable. This session challenges attendees to look inward—at their integrity, consistency, and emotional intelligence—as the true cornerstones of leadership excellence.

Whether you're leading a team of two or two hundred, this session offers practical, actionable strategies to elevate your leadership approach, cultivate stronger relationships, and create a culture where people choose to follow—not because they have to, but because they want to.
