Position Summary:

Wellflex Energy Solutions, located in Rhome, is looking for a Human Resources Manager to provide organizational support regarding HR policies and best practice, and to serve as a resource to management and employees in solving day-to-day workplace matters. This professional must be committed to recruiting top talent and providing exceptional service to both internal and external customers. Our ideal candidate will be skilled in all aspects of Human Resources Management including: payroll & timekeeping, compensation, employment laws/compliance, benefits, recognition/rewards, training and development, performance management and employee relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • ·         Create and implement strategies related to all aspects of Human Resources
  • ·         Support management with human resources advice, counsel, and decisions
  • ·         Guide management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures and guidelines
  • ·         Recruiting
  • o   Work with department heads to identify current and prospective staffing requirements
  • o   Develop staffing strategies and work through the preparation of job descriptions, posting of jobs and the interviewing, selection, hiring  and onboarding process
  • o   Oversee pre-employment screenings and the FCRA notice process, as required
  • o   Develop and manage relationships with temporary staffing/labor agencies and search firms to ensure access to high quality candidates
  • o   Prepare, plan and perform new hire orientation/onboarding. Work with department heads regarding employee onboarding/training plans to ensure new hires are set up for success
  • ·         Payroll & Timekeeping
  • o   Oversee bi-weekly payroll and all aspects of timekeeping
  • o   Remain knowledgeable of national and TX wage and hour laws
  • o   Provide management reporting to leadership team, as requested
  • o   Maintain accurate and relevant information in HRIS
  • ·         Ensure compliance with Company policies/practices and federal, state and local employment laws
  • o   Oversee and manage FMLA
  • o   Remain compliant with FLSA
  • o   Manage ADA matters, including the interactive process with employees
  • o   Remain a steward of Company Policies, educating employees about policy provisions and parameters
  • o   Calendar, and meet, annual reporting requirements
  • o   Oversee attendance policy and point system
  • o   Maintain accurate and compliant job descriptions
  • o   Consult and coordinate with outside counsel as necessary
  • ·         Benefits
  • o   Oversee all aspects of employee benefits and benefits administration, including review and selection of benefits, annual open enrollment and compliance with annual reporting requirements (5500s, ACA)
  • o   Coordinate and oversee 3rd party vendor relationships
  • o   Incorporate new and innovative benefits to aid in recruiting and retention
  • o   Work with staff to field PTO questions and assist with maintaining accurate PTO balances
  • ·         Performance Management
  • o   Coordinate with leadership team to facilitate employee performance review process
  • o   Research and advise on market changes regarding compensation
  • o   Assist in coaching and counseling employees
  • o   Manage difficult employee situation with poise
  • o   Work closely with upper management to develop and administer succession planning ladders to selected employees.
  • ·         Employee Relations
  • o   Serve as the cultural ambassador for the Company
  • o   Promote a culture that encompasses the Company’s core values
  • o   Manage and oversee effective corporate communication with employees
  • o   Manage performance or grievance issues with professionalism
  • o   Coordinate with leadership team to craft and deliver effective and pertinent recognition and rewards program
  • o   Coordinate and Facilitate Company-wide events
  • ·         Training
  • o   Identify training needs; Conduct/facilitate training
  • o   Ensure strategic alignment of training with Corporate objectives
  • o   Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness/ROI
  • ·         Manage and Mentor HR Staff
  • ·         Employee Exits
  • o   Perform exit interviews with departing employees
  • o   Generate constructive data from exits to create useful information to aid in attraction and retention
  • o   Draft, deliver and monitor status of separation/severance agreements
  • o   Provide timely responses to unemployment claims
  • ·         Pull monthly / quarterly labor hours for OSHA compliance

Skills & Qualifications:

  • ·         Bachelor’s Degree
  • ·         At least 5-7 years’ experience in a Human Resources Manager Position
  • ·         Experience with payroll and timekeeping systems & processes
  • ·         Solid working knowledge of the MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • ·         PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
  • ·         Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Human Resources best practices & labor laws
  • ·         Experience  managing FMLA, ADA, and employee Leaves of Absence
  • ·         Oil and Gas/Manufacturing experience a plus
  • ·         Strong analytical and problem solving ability
  • ·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong listening skills
  • ·         Outstanding customer service experience for both internal and external customers
  • ·         Proven organizational, multi-tasking and project management skills, including skillfully managing competing priorities
  • ·         Strong interpersonal skills
