Legal Hour & LuncheonsOur monthly Legal Hour & Luncheons are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. The monthly events are to educate our members on the latest HR news and provide them with recertification credits. A legal topic is covered from 10:15AM to 11:15AM, and a general HR topic is held from 11:30AM to 1:00PM. | conferencesEmployment Law Update – This event focuses on legal and compliance topics that are helpful to HR professionals of all levels. Normally held every April. This event has been in place for over 21 years. The Strategic Mindset – This event focuses on strategic HR management. Normally held every September. This event has been in place for over 11 years. |
speaking criteria
Topics should be relevant to the HR community and meet the curriculum and standards for SHRM Professional Development Credits (SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP) and HR Certification Institute recertification credit (PHR, SPHR and GPHR). Possible topics include:
- Strategic Management/Leadership Development
- Personnel Law & Policy: Broad, Safety, Employee Relations or Legal/Policy Compliance
- Talent Management: Broad, Recruiting, Engagement and Recognition, Diversity & Inclusion, or Training & Development
- HR Tools & Technology: Broad, Social Media, Soft Skills Development, Software/Product Information
- Personal/Career Development
- Total Rewards: General, Compensation, Benefits, Wellness
We look for presenters who are willing to share their expertise without expectation of payment in the spirit of networking and giving back to the HR community. FWHR believes that the attendance and decision-making authority of our audience provides a significant opportunity for speakers to increase their visibility and establish valuable contacts with a targeted HR audience.
Please be aware that more than one presentation may be submitted for consideration; however, one proposal per presentation must be completed.
If selected as a speaker, you will be contacted by our Programs Director, Dottie Muldowney, via email. All submissions will remain on file for review in the future.
